A transformative approach to dementia care.
The Jewish Home Family meets the needs of seniors and disabled adults with a variety of medical conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, confusion, and memory loss.
Memory Lane is a special program located in a separate, secure area of Jewish Home Assisted Living, available for care of individuals with mild to moderate stages of Alzheimer’s and dementia. Our residents here function as independently as possible with the assistance and supervision of a specially trained staff.
Our Free Spirit Wing at Rockleigh is home to 42 residents who each have a diagnosis of dementia. The unit’s numerous walkways, closed doors and experienced staff promote a safe environment for wandering residents.
Our Gallen Day Center also specializes in memory care for those still living at home, combining medical supervision with stimulating programming and activities.
The Green House Model of Care
We focus on three core values of the Green House Project: real home, meaningful life, and empowered staff. Our Green House model of care is driven by a specially selected and dedicated staff of nurses and multi-skilled caregivers. Each staff member has been specially trained and intensely educated to work with residents as family, building relationships and managing all aspects of everyday life including cooking, light housekeeping, personal care, and stimulating activities.
Working with elders as individuals and building on their strengths in a safe, engaging environment enables our residents to live their best lives with as much freedom and independence as possible.
